Jane Smith has worked for the Widgets, Weezles, and Warblers Corporation for the past 25 years. At a recent Town Hall meeting, Jane asked two members of the executive leadership team about their plans to improve the declining employee morale at the Widgets, Weezles, and Warblers Corporation.
One of the executives responded to Janes question by stating that Employee morale is not our responsibility.
What is your opinion about the executives response to Janes question?
What role, if any, does a leader play in establishing and maintaining employee morale?
What is the leaders role (if, in your opinion, the leader plays a role) in ensuring that employee efforts are aligned to the organizations mission, vision, and strategy?  Why?
