Revisit chapters 6 and 7 in To Be Told. In these chapters, Allender discusses our calling and how it is connected with our deepest dreams and passions, which have been forged and developed within our unique stories. On pages 114-117, Allender names 4 core questions for one to consider in connection to calling and mission.
Respond to the questions below as you consider your own unique calling. Please note that the term “calling” is not relegated solely to a vocational realm and can be construed in a much broader sense. Consider not merely what you feel called to do, but who you are called to be, and then consider where these two may converge.
Respond to these core questions found in the Allender text:
Who am I to serve?
Where am I to be?
What burden am I to bear?
How am I to engage?
