The patient I wanted to do a risk assessment on was 28 years old. She was admitted for apendicities, she later ended up going to surgery for an apendectomy. Before her surgery, her pain was a 2/ 10 in the lower right portion of abdomen. Upon end of shift, and after surgery, patient had a new pain of 5/10. This patient was a high fall risk(bed rails Xs 2 bed in lowest postion), she had a history of PTSD, Personality Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression. She did have a daughter and a husband who were supporting her. Patient was not as mobile due to her being in pain for appenicites and also after surgery patient was still immobile due to the pain she had after surgery. Patient was also placed on an NPO diet being that she was getting ready to go the surgery.
